I have several obscure texts, not read by westerners because not English, with particular insights on the USSR. Not to bash the Slavic populations. They suffered through much turmoil.
The risk is that this is an enormous topic. I don't want to enter it in a light way, but I cannot conceive that I (me - not a researcher, but just a reader like yourselves), could do it justice.
Of course I have thoughts on everything I have ever published. My tendency is to let the text speak for itself, and you decide on its greater merits and meaning. If I come out with personal opinions, they can be held as a conflict of interest. Then this work would be discounted as one more form of propaganda. (Which it is; since I make the selection.) I try to select obscure writings that give another viewpoint. Why are they obscure, (not translated)? Maybe because they would be important to better judge current narratives? I don't claim these texts are a greater truth. But they are a component of the truth, for you to consider.
This project will develop on its own, and will travel to "who knows where"? Perhaps I will go slowly. (Those other books with 30 chapters were a breathless road-race.)
I certainly look forward to reading your work mentioned at the end, thank you for your time and effort.
